About The In-Person Workshop

Join Penn State Extension livestock and agronomy educators for an engaging pasture walk at Penn State's Haller Farm, where participants will explore practical strategies to improve pasture quality for grazing animals. Home to Angus and crossbred beef cattle managed through a rotational grazing system, Haller Farm also serves as a site for ongoing research projects that attendees will have the opportunity to observe firsthand. Extension professionals from Penn State, the USDA, and the Pennsylvania Grazing Lands Coalition will be on hand to discuss grazing strategies and answer questions. Whether you're just getting started or looking to fine-tune your management practices, this event offers valuable insights into soil fertility, weed control, animal nutrition, soil testing, species selection, and overall pasture management. Part of a statewide series held on farms across Pennsylvania, this walk provides a unique opportunity to connect with experts and fellow graziers in the field.

This event is being offered at no charge to participants.

Registering before the event is encouraged and appreciated!
