About The In-Person Workshop
Join Penn State Extension educators for an engaging, hands-on pasture walk designed to help you improve pasture quality for grazing animals. Hosted at Dr. Harold Dunn's 200-head sheep operation, featuring Texel and Cheviot crosses, this program will highlight soil testing, pasture evaluation, rotational grazing, pasture management, and species selection. Participants will explore a 20-acre system divided into 12 paddocks and gain practical insights applicable to a variety of grazing species.
This event is part of a statewide series visiting farms across Pennsylvania and will be hosted at Dr. Harold Dunn’s sheep operation. Lunch will be provided by Southwest Project Grass, followed by an optional quarterly meeting. A $10 donation is appreciated for those who plan to stay for lunch.
This event is being offered at no charge to participants.
