PA OneStop Demonstration to be Featured at Ag Progress Days

The demonstration, which will take place between 9 a.m. and noon, Aug. 12, in the West 9th Street Meeting and Professional Training Area at the Russell E. Larson Agricultural Research Center at Rock Springs, is designed to help farmers, landowners and other interested parties learn how PAOneStop supports planning by integrating imagery, mapping tools, soil data, calculation tools and plan creation modules into a single, accessible platform. 

Among other topics, the workshop will cover:

• How to navigate PAOneStop for farm planning.
• How to create farm maps and calculate soil loss.
• How to develop agricultural erosion and sediment control plans.
• The new manure management plan module for plan development.

PAOneStop is developed and implemented by Penn State Extension with financial and technical support from the Pennsylvania State Conservation Commission, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, and the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, with technical support from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service.

Larson Agricultural Research Center at Rock Springs, 9 miles southwest of State College on Route 45. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. August 11; 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. August 12; and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. August 13.
