Wish you had enough greens every week for market or for dinner? Hoping to have a large enough bounty for a family gathering or special event? Tired of having too few tomatoes to make sauce and too many to eat before they go bad? Learn to evaluate your growing space, make a planting plan, and prioritize your plan based on the space you have and the harvest you want. The workshop will focus around annual crops and topics covered will include designing your growing space, indoor verse outdoor planting dates, yield projections, succession planting, crop rotations, and season extension. All participants should be prepared to put their pencils to the paper and make their vision a reality! Bring a calculator if you have one and if you have a specific space in mind that they would like to plan for please bring approximate measurements of the growing beds/space.
This program will be geared towards growers with a few seasons of production under their belt, growers interested in setting production goals for their space, and growers who want to take their growing skills to the next level.
Learn how to develop an annual food crop plan based on your growing space, your crop-specific desired harvest volume, and desired harvest window.
