From 2011 to 2013, at the University of Wisconsin and the USDA’s Agricultural Research Service, she worked with cranberry growers to develop integrated pest management tactics for the red-headed flea beetle. For the next two and a half years, in the Department of Agronomy at the University of Wisconsin, she worked with grain farmers on weed management strategies for pigweeds, herbicide resistance management education, and cover crop resources.
