About The In-Person Workshop
Build the knowledge, confidence, and teaching skills needed to lead successful livestock evaluation and judging programs. Designed for 4-H volunteers, FFA advisors, agricultural educators, extension professionals, livestock producers, and others interested in coaching livestock judging teams, this one-day workshop combines practical instruction with hands-on learning. Explore effective strategies for teaching livestock evaluation, coaching oral reasons, developing critical-thinking skills, and organizing productive practices. During the afternoon practicum, participants will apply these techniques while working through live livestock classes with their accompanying team members. Participants who do not bring a judging team are encouraged to observe, participate in discussions, and gain practical resources they can use to strengthen livestock judging programs in their communities.
Individuals bringing youth team members should register using the "Parent/Guardian/Chaperone" registration type. All other attendees should register using the "General Attendee" registration type.
This event is being offered at no charge to participants.
