Learn About the Latest Developments in Cover Cropping in the Northeastern U.S.

Northeast Cover Crops Council

The second annual Northeast Cover Crop Council Conference will be held in the Ramada Inn, State College, Pa, on November 15, with a field day on November 16, 2018. The event will feature Ontario grain farmer Blake Vince, speaking on improving soil with roots not iron, and soils professor Ray Weil discussing his cover crop research, as well as 40 breakout and poster presentations on the latest cover crop research and applications in the Northeast. The conference includes networking opportunities during the poster session, "world cafe" discussions, a social hour, and field day at the Penn State Russell E. Larson Agricultural Research Center.

The conference is organized by by the Northeast Cover Crops Council (NECCC), consisting of farmers and representatives from NGOs, the ag industry, government agencies, including USDA NRCS and USDA ARS, and universities. The mission of the NECCC is to support the successful implementation of cover crops to maximize economic, environmental, and social benefits.
