The Thrive Initiative provides parents and caregivers with the tools and strategies they need to give their children the best possible start in life. Developed by scientists and backed by evidence, Thrive offers programs to empower parents and caregivers as they nurture children from birth to age 18. With Thrive, parents, grandparents, and other caregivers can strengthen their parenting skills, learn to manage stress in themselves and their children, and promote a healthy lifestyle. Thrive offers a variety of face-to-face and online programs, as well as online resources, that engage and inspire. Caregivers can choose the option that best meets their schedule and family needs.
Kinship care is a term used for individuals raising children by grandparents, other extended family members, and adults with whom they have a close family-like relationship such as godparents and close family friends because biological parents are unable to do so for whatever reason.
Penn State Extension collaborates with the Clearinghouse for Military Family Readiness at Penn State to offer Thrive resources.
This event is being offered at no charge to participants. Registration is required to receive the link to access the webinar. Registrants will also receive access to the webinar recording.
