About The Live Webinar
Participants will learn about the science behind substance use disorders (SUDs). A guest speaker will address the stigma surrounding SUDs and its impact on individuals and their families, including children and kinship caregivers. The workshop also covers strategies for preventing substance-use-related harms.
Kinship Café provides a welcoming space for kinship families to feel heard, supported, and informed. Using the Caring for Our Kin curriculum, developed in collaboration with West Virginia University Extension, this monthly gathering offers meaningful connections, valuable resources, and discussions on relevant topics. Families will have the opportunity to share experiences, gain insights, and strengthen their confidence in caring for the children in their lives.
This event is being offered at no charge to participants.
