About the In-Person Workshop
Drying lumber is a necessary step for using lumber in most applications. While there are several reasons to dry lumber before using it, one of the main reasons is that it allows most of the shrinkage to take place before a product is made of the lumber. It has been said that drying hardwood lumber is both an art and a science and Kiln Drying of Hardwood Lumber Short Course is designed to provide the basic knowledge needed to be an effective dry kiln operator. No previous drying experience or training is necessary.
