About The In-Person Workshop
Drying lumber is a necessary step before using it in most applications. One of the primary reasons for drying lumber before use is to allow most of the shrinkage to occur before a product is manufactured. It has often been said that drying hardwood lumber is both an art and a science. The "Kiln Drying of Hardwood Lumber Short Course" is designed to provide the basic knowledge needed to become an effective dry kiln operator. No previous drying experience or training is necessary.
