Karel A Zubris

KAREL ZUBRIS provides research-based education to low income audiences in Luzerne, Lackawanna, & Wyoming counties. 

Her educational programs help individuals, families, and teen parents, with limited resources enhance their nutrition , increase their physical activity and develop the life skills need for self-sufficiency and better health.  The classes are provided at no cost to eligible participants at housing developments, educational centers, Career Links, active-adult centers, and other human service agencies reaching the low-income audience. Classes include hand on activities and cooking demonstrations to enhance the learning process. 

The content promotes the USDA's Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
