Jill Varner is an experienced Food, Families, and Health Educator located in Western Pennsylvania. She grew up on a hobby farm in rural Texas, then moved to rural western New York. She possesses a bachelor’s degrees in education and family therapy along with a master’s degree in education, focusing on educational principals throughout the lifespan. She has a strong understanding of mental health, and is a member of the Farm Stress Team, a Mental Health First Aid instructor, and Question, Persuade, and Refer Suicide Prevention Team member. With years of experience providing educational programs for youth and families, Jill has shown a commitment to provide opportunities for her community and beyond. In addition, she has provided mental health-based services for the past 15 years working with Penn State Extension and Head Start, highlighting her commitment to education and engaging with a variety of populations. Her goal is to provide tips and resources about mental health, to help us all take care of one another.
