James Lawhead

Jim graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1987.  Following graduation, he joined Millerstown Veterinary Associates. In private practice, about 70 percent of his work was with dairy cattle.  Jim has always had a strong interest in nutrition and dairy herd management. His goal in working with farmers was to find ways of increasing productivity and more important profitability. He has always enjoyed educating dairy farmers in a one-on-one role and now hopes to expand the scope of his teaching with his work in Extension.
