About the In-Person Workshop
Discover how meaningful change begins right at home at the Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Washington County Garden Symposium and Marketplace. This year's theme, "It Starts in Your Backyard," highlights ways gardeners can create beauty, support wildlife, and promote sustainability, one garden at a time. Attendees can learn from two keynote presentations and choose from eight expert-led breakout sessions covering topics from native plants and pollinators to sustainable gardening practices and creative landscape design. By participating, you support the 66 dedicated Master Gardeners of Washington County who contributed over 4,000 volunteer hours last year, sharing research-based horticultural knowledge through community outreach, educational gardens, and youth programs. Engage, connect, and shop the marketplace while kicking off your spring gardening season with inspiration and practical guidance.
