In this workshop you will learn how to identify and monitor problematic invasive plants spreading through north central and northwestern Pennsylvania. Presentations will include information on ID, ecology and biology of several invasive plants as well as a tutorial on using the iMapInvasives to map and record where they are concurring in your area. A field tour will reinforce plant ID and how to record your observations. Information will also be provided for anyone interested in becoming a Citizen Scientist for the regional Allegheny Plateau Invasive Plant Management Area cooperative. Attendees will receive a free copy of Penn State Extension's "Invasive Forest Plants of the Mid-Atlantic".
