Ticks can transmit pathogens to horses that cause diseases like Lyme disease and anaplasmosis. Unfortunately, there are no vaccines for horses that will protect them from these pathogens so prevention of tick bites is critical. During Horses and Ticks Don't Mix - Protecting Your Horses From Tick Bites, participants will learn how to identify important ticks and multiple ways to approach tick control on and off the horse to reduce the risk of tick bite and pathogen transmission.
