About The In-Person Workshop
Celebrate the season with the Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Clinton County at "Holiday Greens: Creating Centerpieces and Wreaths." Participants will explore a variety of natural materials and learn how to craft their own festive decorations under the guidance of Master Gardeners. Enjoy hands-on instruction using locally sourced evergreens and accents—including native Eastern white pine, Douglas fir, boxwood, yew, Sea Green juniper, and berries from winterberry trees and shrubs—to create one-of-a-kind holiday pieces that bring the beauty of nature indoors.
Participants can choose between two creative sessions—or register for both. The centerpiece session offers the opportunity to craft a festive centerpiece using a provided base, while the wreath session focuses on designing a holiday wreath on a grapevine form. Each session includes greenery, inserts, foam, wire, and ribbons, and participants are welcome to bring their own decorative accessories to personalize their creations.
