About the Events

The Penn State Field and Forage Crop Team invites you to sponsor the 2026 Hay and Pasture Workshops and help provide high-quality forage education to Pennsylvania producers. Your support ensures quality speakers and content at an affordable price for producers statewide.

Workshop Themes, Dates & Locations

Hay Production (Full Day)

  • Collegeville, PA - Montgomery Co. – March 11 (9:30 AM–3:00 PM)
  • Mercer, PA - Mercer Co. – March 17 (9:30 AM–3:00 PM)
  • Towanda, Bradford Co. – March 18 (9:30 AM–3:00 PM)
    • Support producers learning best practices for hay fertility, weed management, harvesting, and marketing.

Better Forage with Baleage and Haylage (Half Day)

  • Chambersburg, PA - Franklin Co. – March 24 (12:00 PM–4:00 PM)
  • Brush Valley, PA - Indiana Co. – April 18 (11:00 AM–3:00 PM)
    • Showcase your brand during sessions on wrapping, inoculants, and ensiling for high-quality harvested forages.

Practical Pastures (Full Day)

  • Allentown, PA - Lehigh Co. – April 2 (9:00 AM–2:00 PM)
    • Educate producers on grazing strategies, forage-livestock matching, fertility, and weed management.

Forage Management for Profitability: Pastures and Baleage (Full Day)

  • Bloomsburg, PA - Columbia Co. – March 31 (8:30 AM–3:30 PM)
    • Combine pasture management and baleage education while engaging directly with producers.

Virtual Forage Production (Half Day)

  • Via Zoom – March 10 (10:00 AM–2:45 PM) 
    • Gain online visibility as participants explore timely regional and national forage research, corn silage, annuals, manure management, and other emerging topics.

Sponsor Opportunities

  • Half-day events: $75 ea.
  • Full-day events: $150 ea.
  • Sponsor all workshops: $750 (maximum total fee regardless of number of events selected)
