About The In-Person Workshop
The Hardwood Lumber Grading Short Course will cover and explain the National Hardwood Lumber Association’s hardwood lumber grades and provide hands-on grading experience. Designed for anyone involved in the lumber industry who needs a basic understanding of hardwood lumber grades, the course combines classroom instruction with practical application. Instruction on Wednesday and Thursday will alternate between class discussion and hands-on practice with lumber. Participants will study the hardwood lumber grading rules and practice applying them to cherry, red oak, white oak, hard maple, soft maple, and ash.
Participants may take breaks as needed throughout the course. Lunch, beverages, and snacks will be provided each day; however, dinner will be on your own.
Space is limited. Preregistration is required.
