About The In-Person Workshop
Join the Penn State Extension York County Master Gardeners for an engaging tour of the herb demonstration gardens at John Rudy Park. Attendees will explore several themed herb beds showcasing a wide variety of herbs grown in raised beds, pots, and traditional garden plots. As you tour each bed, you will practice identifying different herbs, learn best gardening practices, and discover how to care for your herbs to ensure a successful growing season. The gardens also provide guidance on selecting complementary herbs for planting together, proper planting, watering, and harvesting techniques, and other essential skills for cultivating a thriving herb garden. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced gardener, this interactive tour offers practical tips and hands-on learning to help you grow flavorful and healthy herbs in your own garden.
