About The In-Person Workshop
Discover the essentials of growing and preserving apples in this informative workshop. Following the presentation, a Penn State Extension Master Food Preserver will demonstrate how to safely prepare and water bath can applesauce while introducing the fundamentals of using a water bath canner for high-acid foods, including fruits. Participants will also explore common food preservation myths, learn why outdated methods are no longer recommended, and gain research-based guidance to help preserve food safely and confidently at home.
