About The Live Webinar
Do you love trees—and even more, trees that provide food? Nut trees can be a valuable addition to both home and community landscapes, offering beauty, nutrition, and diversity. In this webinar, retired Penn State Extension Horticulture Educator Emelie Swackhamer will highlight the many types of nut trees that thrive in Pennsylvania and share guidance on common pest and disease issues to watch for. Presented in partnership with the Pennsylvania Nut Growers Association, this session is perfect for anyone interested in learning more about these often-overlooked but highly rewarding trees.
Audience participation is encouraged in this webinar. Participants are invited to send a photo of a nut to the speaker in advance for a chance to have it featured and identified during the presentation. Please include a ruler or coin in the photo for scale. Photos should be emailed by November 9 to Emelie at exs33@psu.edu.
Space is limited - preregistration is required.
