About The In-Person Workshop

Join the York County Master Gardeners for an engaging, interactive class on creating a vibrant butterfly garden, featuring the Master Gardener Hanover Junction Station Demonstration Garden as a living example. Participants will explore how a traditional home landscape can be transformed into a thriving habitat that supports butterflies by meeting their essential needs for food, water, and shelter. Through hands-on learning, the workshop will highlight key garden elements that enhance the butterfly experience, including the identification of both nectar sources and host plants. Attendees will also gain practical tips for establishing and maintaining a healthy butterfly garden, making this program ideal for gardeners of all experience levels seeking to support pollinators while adding beauty and ecological value to their landscapes.
