About the Live Webinar
The Pennsylvania Forest Assessment Project engaged members of the forestry community in a comprehensive evaluation of the condition of Pennsylvania's forests and the types of harvesting practices being used across the state. Using Forest Inventory and Analysis (FIA) data and building on the approach developed by Belair, Gunn, and Ducey in New England, the project examined forest conditions and management patterns through an 18-month collaborative process designed to ensure the research reflected real-world forestry practices. This presentation will outline the project's process and key findings, explore interpretations of the data, and discuss next steps for improving how actions and impacts on Pennsylvania's forests are understood and tracked.
