About the Live Webinar
The Penn State Extension Food Safety Manager Prep Course is for individuals serving as managers or in supervisory roles requiring certification. This training meets the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture requirements for the Food Employee Certification Act.
The Food Safety Manager Certification Prep Course is designed with the busy professional in mind. Participants will receive the benefit of live interactive instruction from Food Safety Experts without the need for travel.
The requirements for a Certified Food Protection Manager under the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture Food Employee Certification Act will be changing. Until the changes are implemented, the current requirement remains in effect. To receive and maintain certification, individuals are required to pass a certification exam every five (5) years.
The Penn State Extension Food Safety Manager Prep Course webinar series prepares individuals for taking a food safety manager exam such as ServSafe®, NRFSP Food Safety Manager Certification, or another ANSI-accredited exam.
A textbook will be mailed to participants a few days before the first class session. At the conclusion of the course, participants will be provided with multiple exam certification options. These exams are available in several languages and have an examination fee of approximately $100. Your instructor will help you determine the best testing option for your specific circumstances. Please note that the examination fee is separate from the course fee. It is the responsibility of each participant to register and pay for the exam of their choice.
