About The In-Person Workshop

The Penn State Livestock Extension Team, in partnership with Turning Point Land and Livestock, presents a field day for commercial sheep producers focused on practical management strategies and industry networking. Participants will gain exposure to effective flock management practices, connect with industry leaders and fellow producers, and learn approaches to improve flock productivity and profitability.

The educational program features expert-led sessions with actionable solutions and tools that participants can implement immediately. Objectives include introducing producers to proven management strategies, fostering connections with industry experts and peers, and providing research-backed recommendations to enhance flock performance.

In addition to the sessions, the field day offers structured opportunities for networking, discussion forums, interaction with agricultural vendors and industry partners, access to equipment displays, and a lamb luncheon designed to encourage professional connections. Attendees will leave with practical strategies, expanded industry relationships, and insights to support long-term flock success.
