About the In-Person Workshop
Build practical field survey skills through a hands-on learning experience focused on agricultural conservation and best management practices. The day begins with a lecture covering surveying fundamentals, field measurements, and equipment, followed by afternoon fieldwork where participants apply technical skills at a field site. The experience concludes with a collaborative team survey competition that puts newly developed skills to the test.
The Field Survey for Conservation Practices workshop is supported by the Center for Agricultural Conservation Assistance Training (CACAT) at Penn State Extension, with funding provided by the Agricultural Conservation Assistance Program (ACAP) and administered by the Pennsylvania State Conservation Commission (SCC).
Space is limited. Preregistration is required.
