About the In-Person Events
Penn State Extension and the James C. Finley Center for Private Forests at Penn State, along with numerous partners, present two events over three days at a single venue: the Forest Health, Insect, and Disease Briefing, and the 2025 Forest Landowners Conference.Â
Participants may register for one or all events. All attendees are invited to an afternoon reception between the two main events to network, connect, and share insights with fellow forest enthusiasts.
Forest Health, Insect, and Disease Briefing
In partnership with the Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry, Division of Forest Health, Penn State Extension presents the Forest Health, Insect, and Disease Briefing. This focused, single-day event delivers critical updates on the health of Pennsylvania’s forests, covering current insect and disease challenges. Attendees can look forward to a full day of essential presentations and information, with lunch included.
Forest Landowners Conference
Hosted by the James C. Finley Center for Private Forests at Penn State and partners, the Forest Landowners Conference provides invaluable resources for individuals who own, manage, or appreciate forests. Whether you’re a forest landowner, an aspiring woodland steward, or a passionate advocate, this event offers the knowledge and tools to deepen your connection to the land. Engage with presentations, exhibits, field tours, workshops, and discussions to enhance your woodland stewardship. Lunch is included for all attendees on March 7.
