About the In-Person Workshop
Join Penn State Extension and local partners for Farm Safety Day, an engaging program designed to help farmers and their families reduce risks and prevent accidents on the farm. Through a combination of hands-on demonstrations and classroom-style sessions, participants will explore important topics including barn maintenance and emergency planning, tractor safety, manure pits and confined spaces, livestock handling, and responding to farm emergencies. Attendees can refresh their safety knowledge, learn practical strategies to protect themselves and others, and connect with organizations offering valuable farm safety resources. Additional resource booths will feature information on biosecurity, managing farm-related stress, ATV and tick safety, pressure canner gauge testing, and more. Participants will also have the opportunity to experience the new fire extinguisher simulator presented by the Martinsburg Fire Department.
Registrants who attend may also receive a complimentary slow-moving vehicle sign and Stop the Bleed kit while supplies last.
