About The In-Person Workshop

Join Penn State Extension for "Farm Safety Day for Families," a hands-on educational event focused on reducing risks and preventing incidents on the farm. Designed for rural families, this program features engaging presentations and demonstrations on essential safety practices, including grain bin safety, tractor and ATV/UTV operation, PTO awareness, safe livestock handling, and tick safety. Participants will gain practical, research-based knowledge to help keep farm operations safe and sustainable. Adults aged 18 and over may also register for a concurrent session on the Penn State Farm Incidents Preparedness Program and Stop the Bleed, with limited space available and select participants receiving Stop-the-Bleed kits.

This event is being offered at no charge to participants.
