About the In-Person Workshop

Join Penn State Extension for Farm Safety Day in Franklin County, a hands-on educational event focused on reducing risks and preventing accidents on the farm. Designed for farm families, the program will feature a range of engaging presentations and demonstrations that highlight essential safety practices. Topics will include pesticide and chemical safety, tractor and PTO safety, and proper handling techniques when working with livestock and poultry. Participants will also benefit from sessions on first aid, managing farm-related stress, and a live grain bin rescue demonstration conducted by the local fire department. This event offers practical knowledge to help keep farm operations safe and sustainable for everyone involved.
