About The In-Person Workshop
Join Penn State Extension for Farm Safety Day, a hands-on educational program focused on reducing risks and preventing accidents on the farm. Designed for rural families, the event features engaging presentations and demonstrations highlighting essential safety practices. Topics include pesticide and chemical safety, tractor and PTO safety, proper livestock and poultry handling, managing farm-related stress, ATV and tick safety, and pressure canning gauge testing. Participants will gain practical knowledge to help keep farm operations safe and sustainable for everyone involved.
Registrants who complete the event evaluation will receive a ticket for a complimentary light snack at the food station.
