Experience the 2026 ACAP Ag Conservation Con

Conservation professionals from across Pennsylvania are invited to register for the 2026 Agricultural Conservation Assistance Program (ACAP) Ag Conservation Con, taking place September 15–17 at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex in Indiana, Pennsylvania. This annual event brings together conservation district staff, engineers, agricultural professionals, technical service providers, educators, agency partners, and industry leaders for three days of learning, networking, and professional development. This year's conference offers a dynamic mix of breakout sessions, hands-on learning opportunities, field experiences, and peer-to-peer networking designed to strengthen conservation efforts across the Commonwealth.

Attendees can choose from dozens of educational sessions covering topics such as innovative conservation practices, grazing management, engineering support, project planning, agricultural runoff management, forestry stewardship, manure management, conservation district leadership, and staff development. Whether you're new to conservation work or a seasoned professional, there will be opportunities to expand your knowledge and connect with colleagues facing similar challenges.

The conference will also feature regional ACAP roundtable discussions, professional development field trips, and site visits that showcase conservation projects and practices in action. These experiences provide valuable opportunities to learn directly from practitioners and see successful conservation efforts firsthand.

A highlight of this year's event will be keynote speaker Troy Bishopp of the National Grazing Lands Coalition. Known nationally as "The Grass Whisperer," Bishopp is a passionate advocate for regenerative grazing systems, farmer profitability, and practical land stewardship. His engaging presentations blend real-world experience, humor, and actionable insights that resonate with producers and conservation professionals alike.

Conference attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in several networking events, including the Sponsor Reception, Conservation Trivia, social activities, and the ACAP Awards Banquet. The banquet celebrates outstanding conservation accomplishments and recognizes individuals and organizations making a lasting impact on Pennsylvania agriculture and natural resources. Award nominations are currently being accepted online.

Conservation professionals are encouraged to share their own successes through the conference Poster Session. Posters will be displayed throughout the event and provide an opportunity to showcase innovative projects, partnerships, funding strategies, lessons learned, and conservation outcomes. Rather than formal research presentations, posters serve as practical, field-based summaries that encourage discussion and knowledge sharing among attendees.
