Equine Environmental Education & Training Program
Equine Environmental Education & Training Program is a one-day training that will help field staff (NRCS, conservation districts, Extension educators, etc.) become more comfortable working to educate horse farm owners by understanding their priorities, common management practices, BMPs that work, and concerns specific to horses.
Half of the training will consist of equine-specific topics in environmental stewardship areas like forage selection, toxic plants, and grazing management; and the second half of the day is a NRCS technical training session on implementing practice standards on horse farms.
