About The In-Person Workshop
Join us for "Environmental Field Studies: Ephemeral Wildflowers," a guided exploration of the fleeting spring blooms that signal a healthy forest ecosystem. During this outdoor learning experience, participants will learn to identify several unique spring wildflowers—including trilliums, Dutchman's breeches, bloodroot, and others—while discovering their important ecological role in early spring woodlands. As part of the Environmental Field Studies series held in Beaver County, participants will engage in field-based learning that deepens understanding of ecological gardening and land management through accessible, experiential instruction from knowledgeable, down-to-earth educators.
Attendees will meet at the Reforest Our Future tree nursery within Brady's Run Park, near the Maple Syrup Lodge, with on-site signage guiding you to the meeting location.
Please note that the program involves walking on slightly uneven terrain; participants with mobility limitations may follow an alternate route or enjoy a stationary experience to ensure accessibility for all.
Space is limited. Preregistration is required.
