Dicamba Training for Use in XtendFlex Soybean
More details are unfolding about federal and state registrations for the three dicamba-containing products (Engenia, Stryax, and Tavium) for use in XtendFlex soybean platforms for this upcoming growing season. As of this writing, Pennsylvania has approved Engenia for the 2026 season. It is anticipated that the other two products will be approved soon.
As in the past, special annual dicamba training must be taken either in-person or via online training courses/modules to purchase and use these products. BASF is setting up national applicator training sessions and webinars, and options can be found on the BASF Enginia Herbicide webpage, under the "Applicator Training" dropdown tab. These will start on March 17th and run through April. A self-paced online module will be available, likely in April. For information about local in-person applicator training, reach out to your local BASF or other manufacturer's representative of these products. Keep in mind, these training courses will cover all these specific dicamba-containing products. In other words, you don't need to take the training again if you use a product other than Engenia.
Additional stewardship resources, state labels, and approved volatility reducing agents can be found on the BASF Enginia Herbicide webpage.
