Debbie Tice became the 4-H Animal Science Program Assistant when the position was created in 2005. In this position, she supports the 4-H animal science program and clubs (except horses), which includes the livestock, goat, dairy, rabbit, and poultry clubs. She brought with her many years of experience as a volunteer with the Lebanon 4-H Livestock Club and over 20 years on a farm, raising veal calves with her husband and sons. As the sons became 4-H age, they added first sheep, then hogs, then finally beef cattle. Debbie has also served on the Lebanon County Extension Board and Farm Safety Committee and is also the music director at her church, Millcreek Lutheran, in Newmanstown. She previously served as office manager of their veal marketing business. Debbie currently leads the group that has kept Pork Activity Day going, which is a contest for any youth in PA on pork knowledge.
