    About Me

    Dave Hartman is in an extension educator based at the Lycoming County office of Penn State Extension near Montoursville. He has over 31 years of experience in agricultural extension work and is a member of the livestock extension team. His main area of interest is the management of forage and grazing systems, including both perennial and annual/cover crop forages.

    He works with home study courses in livestock grazing management and small scale swine production. He conducts beef extension programming for the central and northern tier of Pennsylvania. He also is involved with statewide cover crop research projects being conducted by Penn State.

    Dave facilitates periodic study circle meetings for certified organic agronomic crop growers and represents Penn State Extension on the board of Pennsylvania Certified Organic.
