About the In-Person Workshop
The Southwest Pennsylvania Regional Dairy Day is an annual event organized by agribusiness sponsors to provide valuable educational content for those involved with dairy production in Pennsylvania. The 2025 program will explore the future of farming with Jim Ladlee, Penn State Extension’s expert, as he unveils the transformative role of artificial intelligence in agriculture in Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Agriculture.
Event Details
The program offers a full day of presentations from dairy industry leaders and opportunities to connect with professionals in the field. Lunch will be provided.
A panel of producers will share their experiences with the applications of technology and artificial intelligence. The afternoon session will focus on water, featuring speakers from the Penn State Extension Water Team. Topics will include PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances), drinking water quality for livestock, and wellhead protection for private drinking water.
The Dairy Day event will also include a trade show, with specific time set aside for interaction with exhibitors.
