Topics include what is covered, where it is available, covered causes of loss, important insurance dates, what you need to do in case of damage or loss, coverage levels and premium subsidies, price elections, insurance units, additional coverage options, and a loss example.
Grain sorghum is insurable in 66 counties in Pennsylvania (every county except Philadelphia). All grain sorghum you grow in a county is insurable if county premium rates are provided, you have a share in the crop, it is grown on insurable acreage, and it is planted for harvest as grain (a combine-type hybrid).
Dual purpose types of grain sorghum (used for both grain and forage) are not insurable.
