About The In-Person Workshop

Join the Penn State Master Gardeners of Cumberland County for the "Creating a Hypertufa Leaf Casting" workshop. During this hands-on experience, you will create a lightweight, durable leaf casting using real leaves and a hypertufa mixture that can be used as decorative garden art, a bird bath, a water feature, or a shallow planter. While your casting begins to set, enjoy a presentation on growing, harvesting, and drying culinary herbs commonly used in popular seasoning blends and gather ideas for creating your own themed herb garden.

All materials and instructions are provided. Participants will work with cement, perlite, peat, and water, so please wear old clothes that can get messy. You will take your leaf casting home to complete the curing process using the provided instructions.

Space is limited. Preregistration is required.
