About the Live Webinar
Transform your yard into a watershed-friendly landscape that supports wildlife, enhances biodiversity, and helps protect local streams and water quality. In this webinar, Penn State Extension and Octoraro Native Plant Nursery owner and grower Kevin Zuidervliet will highlight the native trees and shrubs featured in the 2026 Watershed-Friendly Tree and Shrub Sale supporting the Master Watershed Steward program. This webinar will cover highlighted species of note, particular benefits to the native ecosystem, and considerations when siting and selecting species for your property. The presenters will also explain what to expect when ordering and picking up plants, helping participants make informed decisions and choose confidently for a healthier landscape and watershed. Learn directly from the growers who raise these trees and shrubs about featured species, ecologically friendly growing practices, and what to expect when you pick up your plants.
