Center for Ag Conservation Welcomes Jake Tomlinson to the Team

Penn State Extension and the Center for Ag Conservation Assistance Training (CACAT) are excited to welcome new educators and staff to the team in fall of 2023.

Jake Tomlinson's new role at Penn State Extension is as an Ag Conservation Educator for the Center for Agricultural Conservation Assistance Training. He will provide education, training, and technical assistance to conservation professionals and agricultural landowners implementing agricultural best practices.

Jake holds degrees in forestry and ecology and has worked in the field of natural resource management for over 18 years.  Previously, he served as the Pennsylvania Program Manager for Trout Unlimited and has worked in multiple capacities for the Natural Resources Conservation Service throughout PA, NY, and VT.

He has a strong background in conservation planning, pasture management, and watershed restoration. Outside of work, Jake appreciates spending time outdoors with his wife and two sons. They enjoy hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, and boating.
