Center for Ag Conservation Welcomes Dana Flowers to the Team
Dana Flowers' new role with Penn State Extension is as an Ag Conservation Educator for the Center for Agricultural Conservation Assistance Training (CACAT). She will join her CACAT teammates in providing education, training, and technical assistance to conservation professionals and agricultural landowners implementing agricultural best management practices within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Dana is originally from and is now based in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a dual major in Education of the Hearing Impaired and Elementary Education and a Master of Science Degree in Park and Recreation and Environmental Education from Slippery Rock University. She has worked with non-profits in water resource management, as an environmental scientist with a consulting firm in Phoenix, AZ, as an Extension Agent in Water Resources with the University of Arizona, and previously worked for Penn State Extension as a Water Resources Extension Educator. She also has owned her own business doing professional voiceovers for twelve years.
Outside of work, Dana enjoys her family, her dog, hiking, gardening, kayaking, and other outdoor pursuits, as well as vocal and instrumental music. Â
