Caetano Sales joins Agronomy Team in York County

Cae Sales has joined Penn State Extension as a Field and Forage Crops Extension Educator for York County.

Cae is originally from Berkeley, CA, but grew up in Brazil, where he earned his B.S. in Agronomy from Sao Paulo State University. Cae returned stateside in the spring of 2020 and went on to the University of Florida's Range Cattle Research and Education Center in Ona, FL, to complete his M.S. in Agronomy/Weed Science. During his M.S., Cae also served as the Ag and Natural Resources Extension Agent for Citrus County with UF IFAS Extension, focusing on integrated weed management, pesticide handling, and forage and grazing management.

Cae's focus areas will include IPM and Nutrient Management. Cae has family in the Pennsylvania agriculture community, and looks forward to serving York County and being part of the community. In his free time, Cae enjoys spending time with family and grilling or smoking meats.
