About the In-Person Workshop
Penn State Extension and the Center for Beef Excellence present a workshop designed to help cow–calf producers make more confident, profitable bull selection decisions. Participants will learn how to interpret and apply Expected Progeny Differences (EPDs), evaluate structural soundness and longevity, and recognize emerging herd health threats, including the impact of the Asian longhorned tick and Theileria orientalis. This practical program equips producers with science-based tools to select bulls that improve productivity, resilience, and long-term herd performance.
