About The in-Person Workshop
Join Penn State Extension for the "Building Better Beef Systems" workshop series, a hands-on, on-farm learning experience designed for beef producers seeking to enhance cattle handling, improve animal welfare, and increase operational efficiency. Through guided facility tours and discussions with producers and industry professionals, participants will explore animal handling principles, cattle flow, labor-saving strategies, facility design and modification options, chute and load-out systems, and available funding opportunities through Agriculture Conservation Assistance Program (ACAP). Gain practical insights and real-world solutions that can be applied to strengthen the safety, productivity, and profitability of your beef operation.
