Building a Farmers Market is part of a workshop series hosted by Penn State Extension in partnership with Just Harvest and The Food Trust and is made possible by a grant from the USDA’s Farmers Market Promotion Program (FMPP).
This workshop will be an opportunity for market managers (current and aspiring) to study the Market Square Farmers Market to learn what makes a strong market team, how to create a positive customer experience, and what key elements help a market run successfully. There will be opportunities to connect with other market managers and you will leave with specific ideas about how to improve your farmers market.
This workshop is for farmers market managers, and anyone else who is curious to learn what makes a farmers market run successfully.
You will learn about the history of the Market Square Farmers Market, as well as what makes a strong market team, how to create a positive customer experience, and what key elements help a market run successfully.You will also have an opportunity to talk with other farmers market managers from the Pittsburgh region.
