Written at a fourth-grade reading level, each chapter of Brooke Meets a Stream Doctor invites children to get outdoors and explore a stream in their own neighborhood. Sections titled "It's Your Turn" allow them to do the same hands-on activities as Brooke and her classmates. Junior scientists can record observations on "My Stream Health Chart" right in the book.
Dr. Watt R. Shedd shares practical steps young people can take to make their streams healthier. Together with Brooke, readers will learn that they, too, can improve streams. Parents and teachers can guide young readers, or Brooke’s story can be read independently.
About the Author
Jennifer R. Fetter spent plenty of time getting into troublesome adventures in the woods near her childhood home before growing up to be an educator, biologist, and now children’s book author. She is passionate about helping people of all ages enjoy science and the natural world in a way that is meaningful to them. Jennifer also serves as a stream doctor in her work with Penn State Extension.

However, you can only access the version you purchased. If a new edition is released, you will need to purchase the new version to have access to the new version.

How much is shipping on print publications?
