Brad currently serves as an Ag Conservation Extension Educator in The Center for Agricultural Conservation Assistance Training. In this role he provides conservation assistance training focused on the implementation of best practices for farmers, ag landowners, and conservation professionals to ensure the health of land and water across Pennsylvania. He also serves as the Youth Water Resources lead focused on watershed protection and restoration and private drinking water and chairs the Dive Deeper Summit steering committee.
Brad is actively engaged with several statewide and local stakeholders. He serves as a Penn State Extension representative on the Pennsylvania Watershed Education Task Force, a Leadership Committee member for the DCNR’s Lehigh Valley Greenways Conservation Landscape, as a Director for the Watershed Coalition of the Lehigh Valley, and as Vice President for Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm.
Formerly Brad served as a statewide Water Resources Extension Educator where he focused on youth water, drinking water, and watershed protection and restoration education; both a Master Gardener and Master Watershed Steward Extension Educator in Lehigh and Northampton Counties where he managed volunteers who assist in demonstration and restoration projects, deliver programs and workshops, organize stream clean-ups, and facilitate outreach efforts; and a 4-H Extension Educator in Northampton County where he managed volunteers and their activities, over thirty club programs, and provided oversight to multiple program staff implementing school enrichment programs and summer camping programs. During this time, Brad served on several statewide program initiatives, including: the Dive Deeper Summit steering committee, Environmental Science and Shooting Sports program team, Google’s Computer Science and Coding initiative, and the Science of Agriculture Program.
Brad is a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Natural Resource Extension Professionals where he served as President and took the lead as the Sponsorship and Exhibit Hall Chairperson for the 2024 Association of Natural Resource Extension Professionals Conference. He is a former member of the Pennsylvania Association of Extension 4-H Youth Development Professionals where he served as President and the parent organization National Association of Extension 4-H Youth Development Professionals where he served as the NAE4-HYDP Regional Communications Director on the Board of Trustees.
Brad holds two degrees, one in Education from Northampton Area Community College and one in Elementary and Kindergarten Education K-6 from Penn State. He is a Pennsylvania Certified K-6 teacher and holds many other certifications specifically related to his work. Brad comes from a family steeped in agriculture and is passionate about the environment. He enjoys spending time with his family on his unique hobby farm, taking in Pennsylvania’s natural spaces, and going on environmental vacations.
