Although Lyme disease remains the most familiar vector-borne illness in the United States, other diseases—such as babesiosis, Powassan virus, and eastern equine encephalitis—also pose risks to people. This session introduces participants to these emerging diseases, highlights how they spread, and offers guidance to help communities stay informed and prepared.
